Te Kauwhata Lions Cycle challenge - 11 March 2012
The Te Kauwhata Lions Club Cycle Challenge is on again, to be held on Sunday 11th March 2012 (conflicts with the Pokeno Wheels and Heels event Sad)

For more information and entry online please go to http://www.tk-lions-cycle-event.co.nz

Entries must be received by Monday 5th March 2012, entries received after this date a late fee is charged.

Ok Guy's and Gall's, Lets have some names up as definite startes for this event.

I am up for the 80k and now that there is a fair bit of interest for the other distances.

I'll be there - haven't decided on the distance yet...

Courses:

Looks like a nice ride (and cheap), but doing the Colville connection the day before so will give it a miss I think...

I am intending to do the 80k. Did this event last year and really enjoyed it. Good atmosphere too.

Hey! I went the way the organisers should have designed it - left hand turns at every intersection. The safe, sensible way.

And it wasn't signposted.

And I did fewer up hill sections.

What a day fine weather quite roads .......I must say well done to the 3 ladies who rode there first event. All finished and all could walk after the event, and to there other 1/2s who rode the shorter ride to support them(nice way to earn brownies points guysThumbs up! ) .WELL DONE GIRLSClapClapClap
Results are up .....Tony came 1st in his age group for 30k Dazza came 3rd in his age group 50k Cory 7th age group for 80k and 16th over all ...............great effort guys ClapClapClapClap

Dazza did the 50km, and Cory did the 80km - I think Dazza didn't want to be shown up by his wee boyBig Grin
